The students of USD #374
have hit the ground running, in and out of the classroom!
Interests are being tapped, talents are being utilized, and
academic growth is being experienced on a daily basis. One of
the commitments we have for this website is to provide students,
families, friends, and the community -moments caught in time
through pictures. This article will be standing; that is, it
will be in this section continuously - but the pictures attached
will change weekly. When you click on the picture another page will
open where you can choose to see the pictures as a slide show or
look at them one at a time. As the pictures are rotated off they
will still be available to you through the link under the District
area on the left of the screen. If you have any questions, please
contact us at mlower@usd374.org. If you have any
pictures you would like to share – or if you have a story you would
like to write, or any suggestions or comments, please let us know -

Homecoming was another football victory for
the Sublette Larks. The Larkmen “Lei’d the Syracuse Bulldogs on the
grill,” winning with a score of 23-0.
Scoreless throughout the 1st quarter, Danny
Gonzalez scored the first touchdown in the 2nd quarter with a 7
yard touchdown run. A Gonzalez point made it 7-0.
Sublette.
The next score would come in the 2nd half,
with Royce Williams running it in from 6 yard line. A Gonzalez kick
made it 14-0.
The Larkmen scored again in the 3rd quarter
when Mason Hibbard intercepted the football for a 50 yard touchdown
run, hurdling over Bulldog players as he tumbled into the end zone.
The point after by Gonzalez made it 21-0.
Dropping the Bulldogs in their own end zone
near the end of the 4th quarter gave the Larks a 2 point safety,
making the final score a 23-0 Homecoming victory.
Hibbard led in rushing yards with 20 carries
for 138 yards. Williams had 15 carries for 56 yards, Gonzalez 7
carries for 42 yards, Travis Leverett 8 carries for 25 yards, and
Brandon Stokes 3 carries for 5 yards.
In
passing, Brandon Stokes completed 5 of 8 for 52 yards and had 1
interception. Preston Sabata and Gonzales each had two receptions
and Williams had 1 for 24 yards.
In
total yardage, the Larkmen had 266 yards rushing and 52 yards
passing, for a total of 318 yards. Syracuse had 133 rushing yards.
and 38 receiving yards, for a total of 171 yards.

High & Middle School Cross Country
Sublette Cross Country at
Johnson
In cross country
competition, the Sublette Larks competed against the Stanton County
Trojans at Johnson Saturday, September 26th.
For the Junior
High, Jayden Garetson, 7th grade, placed 90th. 8th graders Alyssa
Aragon and Andy Davis placed 14th and 47th respectively.
Running for the
High School Junior Varsity were James Unruh, who placed 29th and
Michael Birney, who placed 47th.
Gentry Hibbard
received a medal for 10th place for the Varsity Girls with a time
of 17:54. Cheyenne Martin came in 32nd.
Varsity
Boys who ran were Woody Patrick, 19th; Eric Bustillos, 35th; and
Derek Birney, 36th.
